Hi, I'm Kamala.
A holistic sleep coach and mum with over 9 years of experience working with young children and their families as a primary and early years teacher. I hold an MA (Primary) in education and I'm accredited with OCN at level 6 with the Holistic Sleep Coaching Program - trained by Lyndsey Hookway. I'm here to support you on your journey to getting better rest for the whole family.
My passion for holistic sleep coaching came about because of my own postpartum experience. I was a very anxious new mum. I was scared to put my baby down, and couldn't fathom the generic sleep advice I was being given. At the same time, I had a baby who was uncomfortable, sensitive and needed a lot of support to sleep. I didn't know this at the time, and felt like I was drowning. I needed an approach that would help me understand what was going on for my daughter and support me to feel confident in making changes, but also understand that these changes could be responsive, and not follow the mainstream 'sleep training' narrative.
Here at Rest and Grow Sleep, we use responsive and evidence-based support and plans, whilst considering the wellbeing of the whole family.
